The Questar Gas® ThermWise Builder of the Year Awards Program recognizes builders like you who are committed to building high-quality, energy-efficient homes. The awards offer you the opportunity to be recognized among your peers and by the public for the energy-saving work you do all year. There are three award categories based on the number of homes you build annually.
Large Production Builder (over 75 homes per year)
Medium Builder (25-75 homes per year)
Small Builder (less than 25 homes per year)
Award winners will receive marketing funds. All winners will receive recognition in an advertisement funded by the ThermWise Program and exclusive use of the 2010 Builder of the Year logo. Marketing fund amounts are listed below:
Platinum: $2500
Gold: $1500
Silver: $500
*Marketing funds must be used to highlight the energy-efficient features of the homes you build.
Applications will be judged by a third party panel of industry professionals. Builders will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Commitment to building high-quality, energy-efficient homes
- Participation in trainings, partnerships with trade allies and oversight of sub-contractors
- Training of sales staff on ThermWise and/or ENERGY STAR® and development of internal systems that encourage integration of benefits and features into the sales process
- Examples of going above and beyond the basic ENERGY STAR requirements
Participation is easy! Simply fill out the ThermWise Builder of the Year Awards application and submit the required documentation by November 30, 2010.
