What is ThermWise? 
ThermWise is a Questar Gas program developed to help our customers lower their gas bills 
through conservation.

How does ThermWise work?
The program includes public-education campaigns that promote conservation practices and
 energy-efficient products. It also pays rebates to our customers who purchase qualified 
 products.

How do Questar Gas customers save money with ThermWise?
Two ways. First, customers install energy-efficiency measures and use less gas, which 
lowers their monthly bills. Second, we purchase less gas supply and the savings are passed
 on to all customers in the form of lower rates.

Why does Questar Gas offer ThermWise programs?
Questar Gas can offer these programs because utility regulation changed in 2006. If we 
continue to operate efficiently, we are now able to collect our allowed revenue while 
encouraging customers to use gas wisely.

Who pays for the ThermWise programs?
The cost of ThermWise programs is included in our rates. All programs have been approved 
by the Utah Public Service Commission and determined to be cost-effective. In other words, 
for every dollar we spend, our customers will receive more in return in the form of lower 
natural gas rates.

Is ThermWise here to stay? 
Natural gas is the best energy value and we're committed to conservation. We intend to 
continue offering ThermWise programs as long as they remain cost effective. Currently the 
program is scheduled to be reviewed in 2009.

Who is Therm?
Therm is our spokesperson for the ThermWise program. His job is to generate excitement for 
natural gas conservation.

What can I do today to conserve energy and save money?
Participate in ThermWise programs. The best way to start is to have a 
ThermWise Home Energy Audit. Questar Gas offers a no-charge "do-it-yourself" audit that 
generates detailed recommendations to make your home more energy efficient. If you're not 
the do-it-yourself type, for $25 a Questar Gas Audit Technician will conduct an in-home 
audit and review the report with you.
